Srinagar, January 28 (KNO) : All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani while lashing at forces, said they are involved in serious war crimes in Jammu and Kashmir. Syed Ali Geelani Sunday strongly criticized forces for killing civilians including Javed Ahmad Bhat and Suhail Javed Lone and injuring of scores of people in indiscriminate firing in Ganpora Shopian, said that opening fire on unarmed people shows the height of state terrorism. Nobody asks them, nor they feel accountable for their crimes, said Syed Ali Geelani, saying it should serve an eye-opener for international community. India has declared war against civilians in occupied state, said Geelani saying no where on earth brute force is used against unarmed civilians. Terming the statement of Mehbooba Mufti ridiculous, Syed Ali Geelani said their rhetoric about such inquiry commissions is just an eye wash and deceit. There is no reason to accept its creditability as they just want to pacify the sentiments of people and till now none among the accused was brought to book, punished or declared guilty, said Syed Ali Geelani. They are not sincere and it is their ploy to cool down the resentment from people, said Geelani. Terming the killing of civilians, and injuring of scores of people many among them critically, in indiscriminate firing upon unarmed civilians by the forces, as deplorable, Geelani said that opening fire on unarmed people shows the height of state terrorism. Paying glorious tributes to slain civilians, Syed Ali Geelani extended his condolences with grieved families, saying we fell the pain and “the blood of martyrs will never go in vain and added that Delhi with its military might is trying to crumble our struggle however, it will fail.” Blaming forces for increasing deteriorating situation in state, Syed Ali Geelani said Indian forces are using brute and un-proportionate forces against unarmed civilians and taking revenge from innocent citizens. Killing Javed Ahmad , Suhail Javed & injuring scores of unarmed civilians are clear instances that forces have declared war against innocent citizens, added Syed Ali Geelani and added that unprovoked and unjustified use of brute force against unarmed civilians is a known crime in civilized world but it is very unfortunate that uncivilised Indian forces know no such norms and use brute force to kill innocent , saying they are following their masters and local stooges to kill more and harass peaceful citizens . Referring to Indian forces, Geelani said that they are enjoying the impunity under the garb of AFSPA and Disturbed Area acts and it serves a license for them to kill anybody, said Syed Ali Geelani. It is impossible to halt such events unless these incidents are investigated by some international agencies and culprits brought to book, added Syed Ali Geelani. Arrogance of power, stubborn and inflexible approach of India is the basic cause that our people are resenting and showing resistance, said Syed Ali Geelani. Referring to policy makers in Delhi, Geelani said that they never bother to heed the screams and continuously ignore right voices. This is the basic cause that human lives are at stake and with every passing day the situation turns uncontainable and grave. Suggesting rulers in Delhi to read writing on wall, Geelani said and added that “People of state pursued their mission peacefully for right to self-determination, but India turned its deaf ear to the screams and genuine voices raised in this regard.” Geelani also appealed the peace-loving people of the World to wake up from their slumber and put pressure on India for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of the people.(KNO)
